This is my second dentist in 5 months. Back in June I decided to stop putting off finding a dentist—it's been 3 years since my move here and 3 years since my last cleaning. I used my insurance provider's website, found a local dentist with good reviews, and called my insurance to verify they were indeed in network (in the past, I've been told that the website is not always up to date). Well I go in, have a full set of x-rays, an exam, and get an estimate of all the things I need done only to be told that they are NOT in network. I didn't even get a cleaning!
This time around I triple checked before going to Dentists of Washington Park. I got a pretty similar list of things I needed to get done, though some items are different. With a family history of periodontal disease, I was not surprised that both offices listed a deep cleaning, though DofWP didn't think I needed it everywhere like the other office. I was helped by Michelle, Mason, and Dr. Fawaz and they were all great at helping me be as comfortable as I could be given the situation—is anyone ever really comfortable getting dental work? I had a tooth with a huge old, old filling that needed a crown and it was done the same day as my deep cleaning, printed on the spot. It looks and fits perfectly! I have a couple more serious procedures in the coming months—my mouth is filled with decades-old work, and then a couple follow-ups to my PD. Hopefully we'll get to a point where it's just regular cleanings every 6 months because I hope to be a regular client for life.
P.S. Even with insurance, my treatment plan is pricey but I feel like they are transparent and outline all the costs so I know what to expect and can budget for it.

Dr. Fawaz & Dental Assistant - Michelle are amazing! So attentive and helpful. The office was clean as well. I highly recommend visiting them!

Haven’t been to the dentist in years (yikes!) and my first appointment was so so thorough! I went back for a cavity filling a week later and Dr. Truman was so kind and took the time to listen to all my concerns/questions. Michelle the dental assistant was incredible. She communicates so so well and put on Taylor Swift during my filling so I was extra comfy! Appreciate them both so much.
